Chiropractic Helps Relieve Back Problems and the Sacroiliac Joint

Memphis Chiropractic Effective for Pain in the Sacroiliac Joint

We treat a good number of people with back problems in our Memphis office, and Dynamic Chiropractic finds that quite a few cases of back discomfort originate in the sacroiliac (SI) joint. Research has demonstrated that around one quarter of all back pain begins in the SI joint, and now fresh research ratifies what we have noticed in our clinic: chiropractic is an effective way to treat this issue.

Research Proves Chiropractic Therapy Helps Increase Movement in the SI Joint

In the study published in the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, thirty-two women with sacroiliac joint syndrome were split into two groups and asked to participate in one of two treatment methods. one group went through a chiropractic adjustment only at the sacroiliac joint, and the alternate group got an adjustment to the sacroiliac joint as well as the lumbar spine.

Scientists observed significantly more improvements in both pain and movement immediately after treatment, two days later, and 30 days later for the individuals who received high-velocity low-amplitude manipulation to both the sacroiliac joint and the lumbar spine. This shows that chiropractic treatment applied to these two areas offers both prompt and lasting results for sacroiliac joint pain sufferers even after just a single treatment session.

So, if you are suffering with sacroiliac joint problems, or live with back and leg issues and are ready to see if your sacroiliac joint is the root, a visit to our Memphis office could be the first and best step towards feeling better. Give our office a call today at (901) 757-8311.
